Dr. Miguel Catala graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. He is originally from New Hampshire where he grew up on a horse farm with racehorses. Dr. Catala moved to San Diego to complete a rotating internship and quickly fell in love with the city's culture, outdoor lifestyle, and beautiful coastline. Today, he shares his home with two cats and one dog.
Dr. Catala's primary professional interests include soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine, and reproduction. He is also passionate about global veterinary medicine and hopes to continue participating in international veterinary work. To date, he has traveled to Nepal and Mexico in support of veterinary outreach efforts and looks forward to expanding those experiences in the future.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Catala enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time at the beach. He is excited to provide compassionate, high-quality care to pets and their families while continuing to grow his skills in a variety of veterinary disciplines.
