Dr. Kargman was born and raised in Mammoth Lakes, CA where she discovered her passion for science and animal husbandry early in life as an active member 4-H. She moved to San Diego during high school where she stayed to attend USD to complete her undergraduate degree in Biology. She worked at Helen Woodward Animal Center as a veterinary nurse prior to completing her degree in Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis with a focus in livestock medicine. After graduation she moved back to San Diego to complete a demanding one year equine internship program. Dr. Kargman found her passion for internal medicine along with the importance of preventative medicine during her internship. She eventually hopes to further focus her skills in infectious disease, internal medicine, and advanced imaging. During her time away from the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, snow skiing, and exploring new outdoor places with her Boston Terriers.
